WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?
Finding one's purpose is indeed a curious desire and rightfully so. It is natural for a person to say, "why am I here and or why was I born?" Is this all there is to living?"
One of life's greatest frustration is to struggle with not knowing your personal identity and purpose. To go through life fulfilling only what society expects of you such as: attend school; obtain a good education-even as far as a PhD; lasso a great high paying job; shop for nice clothing and accessories; purchase a nice car; get married; buy a home; have a few kids; invest in the stock market; build a great financial portfolio; participate in church or relevant religious services; take a cruise; even having a vacation home; and the list of activities goes on. However, here is the sadness of it all; most of those activities are the expectations of the society in which you live.
Though society glorifies you for your balanced accomplishments, you feel seriously unfulfilled. You could lose it all and not care. You may be driven to the extreme where you tend to believe that something must be mentally wrong with you.
No my friend, you are 100% normal! What has happened to you is that you were taught how to survive and contribute to society on their terms. And obediently, you did a great job pleasing others. That is highly commendable, but the great dissatisfaction comes from NOT KNOWING YOUR PURPOSE! - nothing more, nothing less.
Without purpose, you cannot recognize opportunities that lie right under your nose.
You see, knowing your purpose is the key to complete fulfillment, happiness and sustainable life of significance. It allows you to effectively add value to others and a team.
Knowing your purpose for existing, drives your desire to grow your potential. so if all that you have accomplished as mentioned earlier, was founded on knowing your true purpose, each achievement and action step would have been intentional and leading to a significant and fulfilled end.
